Genset fuel line

On another post it was mentioned that Fleetwood has a recall on the F-53 genset fuel line. I had to replace mine a few years ago and believe I am having the same problem again. Anyone have info on how I can find out about the recall?

Hyd jacks

The last time out I retracted my Hydraulic leveling jacks and even though they came up the jacks down light stayed on so I couldn't get into gear and move. After verifying that the jacks were up I pulled the circuit breaker and was able to drive home. After getting home I replaced the circuit breaker and the jacks are now fine.
I believe the problem to be some sort of stuck solenoid that is closed or opened when the jacks are down. I would like to replace one or all of them before this happens again but don't know where they are in the system. My unit is a 34 foot 1997 Fleetwood Pace Arrow. Anyone have a suggestion?

RE: RV Friendly/unfriendly Gas Stations

I have stopped at FJ's when convinient and always found them a good place to buy fuel. My favorite is just North of home, I usually stop there to dump my tanks fill up on gas and LPG if I need it before heading on home. They do have RV parking spots for those who need to stop and rest and they are well located as are those at most newer FJ's I have stopped at. This FJ has 2 dedicated RV lanes with all the fore mentioned amenities and the gas prices are better than most in the area except those stations at the same stop which adjust their prices to compete. This station is at Hwy 41 and I-64. No experience with Loves but I thought they were making a push for RV business.

RE: Generator

Thanks to all. It looks like bad news (drop the tank). Not sure I want to tackle that myself but now I know there isn't an easy way.

RE: Generator

Thanks for the replies but I think niether was much help.
My gas tank is full so the problem isn't whether the generater probe is reaching fuel.
I think my problem is that the rubber hose has deterioated so that the generator is sucking air. Thus, my question as to reaching the place where the fuel line enters the tank without dropping the tank and/or splicing a new line in at the further point I can reach.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

Generator

I have a 1997 Pace Arrow with an Onan generator. My problem seems to be gas supply from the tank.
I can hook up a short gas line from the fuel pump, drop it into a gas can and the generator runs fine but will not start when hooked to the regular fuel line. I had this problem several years ago and the fuel line was replaced but the folks who did it are out of business so I can't go back to them.
I have 2 questions:
Can you get to the place where the fuel lines enter the main tank without dropping the tank? If so I can't figure it out.
Could I splice a new line in as far toword the tank inlet as I can reach? This would replace the 10 feet or so of line that has had the most exposure to weather and road grime.
Any Ideas/ slash info would be appreciated.

Air conditioning woes

I have a 1997 Pace Arrow with two rooftop A/Cs, these are controlled by an Electronic Climate Control by Itellitec.
My problem is the front A/C, I can hear the compressor kick on and run for a few seconds (15-30)and it blows cold air, then the compressor quits for a period of time (minutes) before it starts again. It seems to work okay when it is cooler such as at night or when in the shade. I took it to a dealers shop and they couldn't find a problem but that was before I had gotten onto the shade/cool problem. It would seem that overheating would be the cause but why couldn't the repair shop ID that? I would appreciate any suggestions anyone has.

water pumps

My fresh water pump failed. The part number is 2088-403-144, and the label lists it as 4 amps. The replacements I see are 2088-422-144, which is probably okay but I note it is listed as 7 amps maximum. Is this a problem?

RE: Television

Not sure how late your model of TV is but on my later models there is an up/down adjustment on the remote.

Water pump

i started bringing the rig out of hibrination and the water pump won't pump. It runs but doesn't move any water. I even ran a line into a bottle of water to be sure it was the pump. The pump is a Shurflo and I note some good prices at Camping World but wonder about replacing the gaskets or something. Any suggestions?

RE: Black Tank Smell when Showering

I agree with what others have said but also suggest you check your vent caps on the roof. We had a recurring problem with black tank odors, thinking the vent pipe might be clogged I went on the roof to check and found the vent cap pushed down tight onto the pipe. I raised it up some and the problem was cured. One wouldn't think the cap could be pushed down tight enough to shut off the venting action but it apparentely did in our case. Just something else to try.

RE: Sky light split

Thanks for all your replies. The drilling to stop the crack from extending is good advice and I think I will look into the plastic welding system.

Sky light split

The sky light over the shower has developed a split about 6 inches long on the outer shell. Can anyone recommend a way to repair it, short of remove and replace. Thanks for any help you can offer.
